In lieu of extended store warranties, Retron provides an exceptional 7-Day Defect Protection Window strictly for verified Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) units or genuine reproducible internal hardware failures, as detailed in our Pre-Owned Hardware Defect & Return Policy (/policies/refund).

Section 4

Zero-Coverage for Liquid Ingress & Chassis Tampering (Industry OEM Standard)

Exactly as enforced by official manufacturer limited warranty standards across the electronics industry, Retron provides zero warranty or defect coverage for devices exposed to liquid, moisture, spills, unauthorized chassis disassembly, broken tamper seals, third-party repairs, or component tampering.

Pre-Owned Hardware Defect & Return Policy

Retron Delhi (operating retron.shop, usedmac.in, and official mobile applications) operates as a specialist retailer of certified pre-owned, refurbished, and unboxed electronics across India. Because pre-owned stock is procured without upstream vendor warranties and sold at significant value discounts, all customer sales are strictly governed by this master policy across both online courier shipments and in-store walk-in purchases.

Section 1

Final Sale & Disqualification of Change-of-Mind Returns

All sales are final once a device is collected from our store or delivered via courier. We do NOT accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refund requests based on:

•Change of mind, personal second thoughts, or mood swings after purchase.

Section 3

Exceptional 7-Day Hardware Defect Protection Window

As an exceptional safeguard for genuine unforeseen issues, Retron provides a strictly defined 7-Day Defect Protection Window starting from the date of physical store collection or confirmed courier delivery. This window applies exclusively to:

•Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) units where the device fails to boot or power on upon first delivery.
•Reproducible internal technical hardware failures (such as motherboard/logic board failure, internal display panel failure, or charging IC failure) that occur during the initial 7 days of normal operation.
Section 4

Mandatory Customer Verification & Burden of Proof

To claim exceptional defect support under this policy, the customer must strictly satisfy the following verification criteria:

•For Courier Transit Damage or DOA Claims: The customer must provide continuous, uncut, 360-degree unboxing video footage recorded immediately upon courier handover, clearly showing the package shipping label, intact tamper-evident seals, all sides of the box, and the initial power-on attempt within 24 hours of delivery.
•For Technical Hardware Failures: The defect must be reported within 7 days of delivery/collection via official support (+91 9711416647 / +91 8586878188) with clear video and photo evidence showing the symptom, the device serial number, and system diagnostics.
•Mandatory Service Center Diagnostic Verification: The device must be presented at our Nirman Vihar flagship service center (or returned via insured courier for outstation online buyers) for physical and diagnostic inspection by our certified technicians to confirm that the failure is an authentic internal hardware defect.
Section 5

Universal OEM-Aligned Zero-Tolerance Exclusions (Policy Invalidation)

Following standard global manufacturer limited warranty guidelines, coverage under the 7-Day Defect Protection Window is immediately and irrevocably voided if the device shows any of the following conditions:

•5.1 Liquid Ingress & Water Damage Exclusion (Universal LCI Standard): Exactly as enforced by major electronic manufacturers, liquid or moisture contact is strictly excluded. Every pre-owned device contains internal Liquid Contact Indicators (LCIs). If any LCI is pink or red, or if internal corrosion, liquid staining, condensation, or mineral residue is detected under microscopic inspection, the claim is summarily rejected with zero coverage.
•5.2 Unauthorized Chassis Disassembly & Tamper-Evident Seals: Device chassis screws and access points are protected with Retron's custom tamper-evident holographic security seals. Any broken, cut, peeled, or pierced seal, or any evidence of screw opening, unauthorized disassembly, or third-party technician repair immediately voids all protections.
•5.3 Component Serialization & Anti-Fraud Law Warning: All core internal components (Motherboard/Logic Board UUID, Battery Serial Number, Display Panel ID, SSD/Storage Serial, Camera Sensor UID) are digitally mapped to the device serial number at dispatch/handover. Any attempted component swapping, part harvesting, or serial mismatch constitutes criminal cheating and theft under Section 318 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) / Section 420 IPC, will be reported to Delhi Police Cyber Cell, and the tampered device will be retained as forensic evidence.
•5.4 Power Surges & Duplicate Third-Party Chargers: Electrical surge damage, charred power rails, or burnt charging controller ICs (PMICs) caused by substandard, unauthorized, or non-OEM duplicate power adapters/cables are strictly excluded.
•5.5 Mandatory Device Account & Activation Lock Removal: Customers must completely sign out of all user accounts and activation locks (such as Apple ID/iCloud/Find My, Google Account/FRP, Microsoft/BitLocker, BIOS/Firmware passwords) prior to technician inspection. Locked devices will be refused at the bench.
•5.6 External Physical & Impact Damage: Drops, dents, glass cracks, chassis bending, pressure spots, and internal display matrix fractures occurring post-handover are strictly excluded.
Section 6

Remedy & Resolution Hierarchy

Upon formal technical verification that a reproducible internal hardware defect exists within the 7-day window without violating any exclusion clauses:

•Primary Resolution: Free technician repair or authorized component restoration at zero cost to the buyer.
•Secondary Resolution: If the unit cannot be repaired within a reasonable timeframe, a like-for-like replacement with an equivalent certified pre-owned unit from active inventory will be provided.
•Final Resolution: If an identical or equivalent replacement unit is unavailable in stock, the customer will receive store credit or a full refund returned to the original payment source.
Section 7

Legal Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution

All transactions, agreements, and purchase contracts across retron.shop, usedmac.in, and our mobile applications are governed by the laws of India. Any legal dispute, claim, or proceeding arising under or in connection with purchases from Retron Delhi shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of East Delhi (Karkardooma Courts, New Delhi).
